  • Oiseau Rock Trail
    Five-km trail (one-way) leading to the summit of Oiseau Rock, at 150 metres above the Ottawa River. In addition to magnificient views of the Great River, interpretive panels along the trail tell of the history and culture of the Algonquin people and show some species of rare plants they use. If you're lucky, you may even spy the Thunderbird, the peregrine falcon, revered for millennia by the First Nations of Québec.

Fishing

The numerous lakes, rivers and streams in Pontiac offer the angler a varied aquatic fauna: speckled, red, and grey trout, black bass, pike, wallye, sturgeon, carp. And in winter, there is ice fishing. Please note that a fishing licence is required in Quebec.

Water Sports

With seven rivers, including the Ottawa River and the "three sisters" white water rivers ( the Dumoine, Coulonge and Black), and the famous Rocher Fendu rapids, Pontiac is host to multiple water sports such as swimming, sailing, canoeing, kayaking, fishing and rafting. These features combine to make Pontiac the Outaouais’ destination of choice for water sport enthusiasts.
